Male catheterization
If you are a man with a urinary tract disorder who requires a urinary catheter, you will be looking for reliable, ready-to-use products that fully adapt to your daily activities. Our Actreen® Hi-Lite range is designed to make your life easier all round.
Please note that intermittent self-catheterization should only be done under medical advice and according to the instructions given.
The Actreen® Hi-Lite range offers both catheters and sets. The Actreen® Hi-Lite Set with integrated urine bag allows you to self-catheterize without having to use a toilet. The urine can drain into the urine bag and be stored until you are ready to empty the bag and dispose of it.
Choose the catheter or set version that best suits your lifestyle and circumstances.
The Tiemann catheters of our Actreen® range have a slighltly curved ball tip and two drainage eyes (see picture: top catheter).
The Nelaton catheters of our Actreen® range have a soft rounded tip with a straight proximal end and two drainage eyes (see picture: bottom catheter).
Depending on the nature of your urethral path, your nurse or doctor will advise you on which catheter tip is best for you.
Actreen® catheters are available with connectors in different colors. The color denotes the external diameter of the respective catheter, which is measured in Charrière (CH). The conical staged connectors allow you to attach a urine collection bag to the catheter, e.g. our Urimed® bags.
The Actreen® Hi-Lite Cath male catheter range includes catheters from CH08 to CH18, while the Actreen® Hi-Lite Sets are available from CH10 to CH18. Your healthcare professional will advise you on an appropriate catheter that allows complete urine drainage without damaging the urethra.
