The B. Braun Group grew its business operations and successfully advanced its strategy in the 2023 fiscal year. Sales rose 3.0 percent to 8.8 billion euros (previous year: 8.5 billion euros) and profit before tax grew 15.3 percent.

He will assume responsibility for the B. Braun Avitum division and at the same time become Chairman of the Executive Board of B. Braun Avitum AG. He will take over both functions from Anna Maria Braun, who is currently responsible for the division on an interim basis alongside her role as CEO of B. Braun SE.

The Supervisory Board of B. Braun SE has appointed Mrs. Ingrun Alsleben as member of the Executive Board of B. Braun SE effective January 1, 2024. Mrs. Alsleben comes from the Bayer Group, where she was most recently responsible for the countries Turkey/Iran as CEO and CFO. As of April 1, 2024, Ingrun Alsleben is to take over the position of Chief Financial Officer from Dr. Annette Beller, who will retire.

The B. Braun Group recorded 8.5 billion euros in sales in FY 2022 (previous year: 7.9 billion euros). Adjusted for currency effects, this is an increase of 3.6 percent. The result was burdened by high expenses to maintain supply availability as well as one-off effects.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Ungethüm passed away on August 4 at the age of 78. He was Chairman of the Management Board of Aesculap AG for 19 years and a member and Vice Chairman of the Management Board of what is now B. Braun SE from 2000 to 2009.

After Dr. Jens von Lackum had already taken over as Chairman of the Management Board effective April 1st, 2022, the Aesculap Supervisory Board yesterday appointed two new members to the Management Board: Prof. Dr. Holger Reinecke and Andreas Hahn will join the board on July 1st, 2022.

Effective March 16, the local company Grupo Uros will take over all dialysis centers including their approx. 230 clinical employees. B. Braun has provided high-quality dialysis care to up to 2,000 patients over the last eight years.
